Founded in the aftermath of the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1924, the Yokohama International School currently provides a balanced international education to over 700 students from over 40 different countries. The International Secondary School provides students grades 5-12 with a broad curriculum created from a mixture of curricula used in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The school also runs a special education program for students with mild to moderate learning difficulties. The International Secondary School provides highly individualized education to its 55 students.
Founded in 1999, the Yoyogi International School provides an international education to over 160 students grades K-12 from over 25 countries. The school employs a curriculum that is influenced by both the International Baccalaureate program and American teaching guidelines. Located next to Tokyo’s largest metropolitan park, the school’s facilities include athletic facilities and computer terminals.
